How to Apply for Camp Euclid, Summer 2012

Step 1 - Submit your Application for Admission.

  1. Your name
  2. Your email address
  3. Your age
  4. Your year in school
  5. Your school
  6. Your school's location
  7. The times (+ time zone) during which you are currently unable to meet online (see step 2 below)
  8. How you heard about Camp Euclid

The suggested application deadline is May 25th!

Step 2 - Do some math + attend an online meeting with a mentor.

You will receive a follow-up email.

a.) Reply to schedule an online meeting with a member of our mentoring staff.

b.) Do some math. Try any unsolved problem (or two) in mathematics for 1+ hours (see step 2c2 below). Click here for some examples of unsolved problems in mathematics. Click here for some tips on doing mathematics research.

c.) Log in to the mentor's virtual office at the scheduled time. The purpose of the meeting will be 1.) to test your system and 2.) to talk (about the problem(s) you chose in step 2b above, did you enjoy the challenge?, what are your mathematical interests, etc.).

Step 3 - Receive an invitation to participate!

You may be selected to participate in Camp Euclid! If so, we will ask (by email) for the times (+ time zone) during which you would be unable to meet online during the camp. A forthcoming email will contain the weekly camp schedule. We will then ask (by email) whether you would like to apply for financial aid.

Invitations to Participate will be emailed beginning Jun. 4th!

How to Register

Step 1 (Optional) - Apply for financial aid.

  1. Your name
  2. How much financial aid you will need

Step 2 - Register.

You will receive your financial aid offer (if applicable) and, should you wish to register, your participation fee payment schedule (by email).

  2. That you would like to register

Step 3 - Pay your registration fee, if any.

Pay the first installment, if any, of your participation fee by the given due date.

Instructions for Participants

Step 1 - Log in to Camp Euclid!

You will receive a welcome email with instructions for participants. In particular, follow the instructions to log in on the first day of camp, Jun. 25th!

Step 2 - Pay the remainder of your participation fee, if any.

Pay any remaining installments of your participation fee by the given due dates.

Step 3 - Have fun!
